Feb 6, 2012, 4:11 GMT
Manila - A strong earthquake jolted central Philippine islands Monday, but there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, a government agency said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was felt at intensity 5 in the central province of Iloilo, but it was still measuring the magnitude.
The US Geological Survey placed the magnitude at 6.9.
