Feb 6, 2012, 5:25 GMT
Manila - At least one child was killed in a strong earthquake that jolted the central Philippines on Monday, the Office of Civil Defence said.
The child was struck by a concrete fence that collapsed during the 6.9-magnitude quake in Taysan town in the central province of Negros Oriental, said Benito Ramos, head of the Office of Civil Defence.
'The child was probably playing at that time,' he said.
