Casino visitor dies after win in Singapore
Feb 17, 2012, 6:34 GMT
Singapore - A gambler who thought his luck had changed with a windfall at a Singapore casino collapsed in the excitement and died in hospital, local media reported Friday.
Ong Seng Kee, 56, had lost all his money at the Resorts World Sentosa casino, where he had gone Sunday night with friends, but one of his companions loaned him money to continue gambling.
The fortune teller turned that 200 Singapore dollars (158 US dollars) into 5,000 Singapore dollars at the baccarat tables, the friend said.
As he gathered his winnings, he suddenly shouted for help and collapsed, scattering chips across the casino floor, the unidentified woman said.
He was taken to hospital, but attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
The cause of his death had yet to be determined.
