Jan 5, 2006, 18:55 GMT
Washington - CA, one of the world's largest information technology management and software firms, has agreed to buy Wily Technology Inc. for 375 million dollars in cash, the company said Thursday.
In a statement, the Islandia, New York-based Computer Associates said it expects Wily to contribute about 72 million dollars of revenue in CA's 2007 fiscal year on a 'ratable basis'.
Wily, based in Brisbane, California, makes programmes that enable information technology managers to quickly analyze problems or disturbances in company software.
The acquisition is expected to be completed within three months, pending regulatory approval, CA said.
'With this acquisition, CA will be the only company to address the management of applications, IT assets and users across all hardware and software, from the mainframe to the distributed environment,' CA President and CEO John Swainson said.
