Kaessbohrer acquires Finnish maker of ski-trail machines
Jun 29, 2007, 12:23 GMT
Laupheim, Germany - Kaessbohrer, a German vehicle group, said Friday it was taking over a Finnish company that makes snow- going machines to smooth cross-country ski trails.
The acquisition of Keiteleen Latukone Oy would expand the German company's position as the world's top maker of machines to groom snow for skiers, the Kaessbohrer Gelaendefahrzeug company said at its offices in Laupheim, Germany.
Kaessbohrer machines are common on downhill pistes in Europe and North America. Company machines also clean beaches.
The company said Keiteleen Latukone Oy, which mainly supplies the Scandinavian market, would continue to manufacture in Finland.
