Thai shares jump 2.45 per cent on Dow Jones rally
Nov 6, 2009, 9:00 GMT
Bangkok - Thai shares jumped 2.45 per cent in value Friday on a region-wide rebound bolstered by the Dow Jones' overnight rally, brokers said.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index ended at 698.63, up 16.72 points or 2.45 per cent.
'The main factor was the Dow Jones rally Thursday,' Terdsak Thaweethiratham, an analyst at Asia Plus Securities said.
'There are signs that foreign investors have become net buyers on the SET in recent days, whereas before they were net sellers,' he said.
