OPEC oil price sheds 0.57 dollars
Dec 3, 2009, 8:48 GMT
Vienna - Oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) fell slightly by 0.57 dollars at mid-week, the Vienna-based group said Thursday.
The cartel's average price stood at 77.31 dollars per barrel (159 litres) on Wednesday.
Global oil prices came under pressure from official US data showing a rise in crude stocks and lower demand of oil products, despite the winter season, analysts at JBC Energy said in Vienna.
OPEC's 12 member countries produce more than 30 per cent of the world's oil.
