Swedish government now sees 3.3 per cent growth in 2010

Stockholm - Sweden's government Monday raised its economic growth projection for 2010 to 3.3 per cent, up strongly from the previous forecast of 2.5 per cent.
Finance Minister Anders Borg announced the new projection and said 'the Swedish economy is standing strongly and is a ray of hope in Europe, where many countries are having to battle with serious problems.'
In his remarks, coming two and a half months before Sweden's parliamentary elections, Borg also said it was a 'sign of strength' the the country would hold joblessness to 8.9 per cent this year and reduced it to six per cent by 2014.
