Bulgarian green market pushes prices down in June
Jul 12, 2010, 14:49 GMT
Sofia - Bulgarian retail prices declined by 0.9 per cent in June month-on-month owing to seasonal factors, but grew by 1.4 per cent year-on-year and 1.5 per cent since the start of 2010, the National Statistical Bureau said Monday.
The downward trend was fuelled by cheaper vegetables and fruit, as is usual in summer months. Bulgaria's 2010 budget projects an annual inflation rate of 2.2 per cent, after 2.9 per cent in 2009.
