Taipei - Taiwan received 2.7 million foreign visitors in the first half of 2010, up 29.4 per cent year-on-year, the Tourism Bureau said Tuesday.
Out of the total, 1.6 million were tourists, up 46.2 per cent, and 469,659 were businessmen, workers, students and others, up 23.2 per cent, the bureau said in its monthly bulletin.
The data showed that China was the biggest source of foreign visitors, accounting for almost one-third of the total.
