Beijing - China is on course to become the world's largest market for Mercedes Benz cars in the next four to five years, the head of company told journalists in Beijing on Friday.
By 2015, the brand's manufacturer Daimler AG intends to be selling 300,000 of the luxury cars per year in China, said chairman Dieter Zetsche, of which about 70 per cent would be produced in the country.
Mercedes is set to sell 120,000 cars in China this year, compared with 100,000 forecast, due to the continued growth of the national economy.
