Siemens unveils new 2014 target for green energy revenue

Munich- German engineering giant Siemens unveiled on Monday a new target for revenue for the group's green energy businesses, of 40 billion euros (55 billion dollars) by 2014.
The Munich-based company had previously set a target of 25 billions revenue by 2011 from the its environmental operations which include wind turbines, energy-efficient lighting and train carriages with environmental features.
Revenue from the group's green products totalled about 28 billion euros in the company's fiscal year through to September, Siemens said.
