Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves fall to 380 billion US dollars
Dec 3, 2010, 9:49 GMT
Taipei - Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves dropped to a value of 379.257 billion US dollars by the end of November, down 4.578 billion US dollars from October, the central bank said Friday.
The bank attributed the fall to depreciation of the euro against the US dollar, as the bank has a large portion of its foreign reserves in euros.
Still, the figure makes Taiwan the fourth-largest holder of foreign exchange reserves after China, Japan and Russia, according to the bank.
