Bank of England leaves interest rates unchanged at all-time low

London - The Bank of England (BoE) Thursday left interest rates unchanged at an historic low of 0.5 per cent, for the 20th consecutive month.
The central bank's Monetary Policy Committee also decided not to resume so-called quantitative easing (QE) measures. Under the scheme, the BoE has so far pumped 200 billion pounds (314.7 billion dollars) into the economy.
