Singapore tourist arrivals up 16 per cent in November

Singapore - Tourist arrivals in Singapore increased in November by 16.1 per cent year-on-year to 963,000, the Singapore Tourism Board said Thursday.
Indonesia, Malaysia, China, India and Australia were the top five tourist-generating markets for the city-state, accounting for 53 per cent of all visitors last month, it said.
Room revenues were estimated at 180 million Singapore dollars (139.4 million US dollars), an increase of 17.6 per cent from the same month a year ago, it said.
The average occupancy rate for hotel rooms increased 3.9 percentage points year-on-year to 89 per cent during the month, the board said.
