OPEC oil creeps up to 96.93 dollars
Feb 10, 2011, 12:29 GMT
Vienna - The oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) inched up to 96.93 dollars at mid-week, the cartel said Thursday.
OPEC's basket price moved up 0.81 dollars per barrel (159 litres) on Wednesday.
Stronger-than-expected stock decreases in the United States and rising Asian stock markets buoyed international oil prices, according to analysts.
OPEC was scheduled to issue its latest market report later in the day.
