Feb 14, 2011, 9:51 GMT
Vienna - The oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) edged down to 97.37 dollars at the end of last week, the group said Monday.
OPEC's basket price eased 22 centss per barrel (159 litres) on Friday, the day that Egyptian president Hosny Mubarak stepped down.
The turmoil in Egypt had helped pushed the cartel's oil price up more than 5 dollars since late January, as markets worried that the unrest could spread to other countries in the region.
