Steve Jobs approves first authorized biography

San Francisco - Apple founder and CEO has approved his first official biography with the book, iSteve: The Book of Jobs, by former CNN chief Walter Isaacson. to be published next year by Simon and Schuster.
According to a statement Monday, Isaacson has been working on the book since 2009 and has been granted unprecedented access to Jobs and his family.
A married father of four, Jobs, 56, is famously secretive about his private life and news of his official biography comes amid growing concerns about the cancer survivor's health as he continues a medical leave of absence from Apple.
Jobs founded Apple in 1976 and was ousted eight years later in a boardroom struggle before returning to the helm in 1997 to rescue the ailing company and launch a digital revolution with products like the iPod, iPhone and iPad that have transformed Apple into the world's most valuable technology company.
He also created Pixar Animation Studios, one of the most successful film companies of recent decades.
