Coca-Cola reports higher profits, revenues
Apr 26, 2011, 19:04 GMT
Atlanta, Georgia - Beverage giant Coca-Cola reported higher revenues and profits on Tuesday, amid gains in market share in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.
Earnings were up 18 per cent from the year-ago quarter to 1.9 billion dollars, said the company, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Revenue was up 40 per cent to 10.5 billion dollars, partly due to Coke's takeover of its North American bottling subsidiary.
Along with its namesake cola, Coca-Cola owns brands including Minute Maid juices, Powerade sports drinks and Apollinaris bottled water.
