Jakarta - Indonesia's economy grew 6.5 per cent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2011, the Central Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.
Gross domestic product rose 2.9 per cent in the second quarter from the previous quarter, driven by exports and rising investment, the bureau said in a statement posted on its website.
Consumer prices rose 4.61 per cent in July from a year earlier, slowing from 5.54 per cent in June, the bureau said.
Bank Indonesia, the central bank, has kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged since February at 6.75 per cent.
