Indonesian shares plunge almost 9 per cent

Jakarta - Indonesia's stock market plunged 8.88 per cent Thursday, as investors engaged in panic selling over concerns about a grim global economic outlook.
The benchmark Jakarta Composite Index lost 328.35 points to close at 3,369.14.
'There were no positive sentiments about the outlook of the global economy,' said Yasmin Soulisa, an analyst with Bapindo Securities. 'Foreign and local investors engaged in panic selling.'
