Nov 1, 2011, 10:11 GMT
Singapore - Singapore shares dropped 2.33 per cent Tuesday amid new concerns about Europe's handling of its debt crisis and overnight losses on Wall Street.
The key Straits Times Index fell 66.42 points to 2,789.35 with losers beating gainers 380 to 112.
Investors were worried about Europe's ability to see through its debt rescue plan after the Greek government announced a referendum on the euro bailout for the cash-strapped nation.
