Nov 10, 2011, 10:13 GMT
Singapore - Singapore shares dropped 2.51 per cent Thursday on new European debt woes after the eurozone's crisis spread to Italy.
The key Straits Times Index fell 71.76 points to 2,786.90 with losers leading gainers 419 to 106.
Italian borrowing costs skyrocketed as the yield on the country's 10-year bonds surged to more than 7 per cent, bringing the eurozone's third-biggest economy into the centre of the regional crisis.
