Hyundai motors post record profits for 2011

Seoul - South Korean automotive giant Hyundai reported profits Thursday of 8.1 trillion won (7.2 billion dollars) for 2011, a company record.
The profits were on the back of record sales of more than four million cars.
Hyundai, along with its sister company Kia Motors, is one of the world's five largest car manufacturers.
Annual revenue was also up, by 16.1 per cent on the previous year.
The company said it was targeting sales in 2012 of 4.29 million vehicles, an increase of 5.7 per cent.
