Feb 8, 2012, 22:43 GMT
San Francisco - Networking giant Cisco reported an 11-per-cent rise in second-quarter earnings Wednesday as the Silicon Valley bellwether continued efforts to turn around its struggling business.
The company reported sales of 11.5 billion dollars in the quarter, up from 11 billion dollars, while net income rose 27 per cent to 2.2 billion dollars.
'We delivered strong performance this quarter with record revenue and earnings per share,' said John Chambers, Cisco chairman and chief executive. 'We are executing well on our three-year plan to drive earnings faster than revenue.'
