Greek prime minister appeals for calm during mass rioting

Athens - Greece's prime minister appealed for calm as mass rioting and looting spread across Athens on Sunday, with dozens of buildings engulfed in flames as tens of thousands of protesters marched against austerity measures.
'The destruction taking place outside this building has no place in democracy,' Prime Minister Lucas Papademos said.
Prime Minister Lucas Papademos was speaking ahead of a key vote on a new round of austerity measures in the 300-seat parliament due for later Sunday evening.
