US inflation below expectations

Washington - The US inflation rate of 0.2 per cent last month was below expectations, according to a survey of Wall Street economists.
A Bloomberg News survey of 82 economists produced an average January inflation forecast of 0.3 per cent. The predictions ranged from increases of 0.1 per cent to 0.4 per cent.
