Eurozone predicted to contract 0.3 per cent in 2012

Brussels - The eurozone's gross domestic product (GDP) will contract by 0.3 per cent this year, the European Union's executive predicted on Thursday.
In its interim economic forecast, the European Commission talked of a 'mild recession with signs of stabilization.' It also said that the EU GDP growth in 2012 would remain flat (0.0 per cent).
