The Christian right in America can support a war and a criminally inspired President's destruction of a country with a war that executes Muslims who convert to Christianity?
This President and his "base" are the "rubes in suits" (a David Letterman quote) who have used right-wing radical Christianity as a limp facade to every manner of machinistic device to further their own and corporate ends to garner any advantage for themselves at the risk of turning America into a third world country and her citizens into passive abettors to these criminal activities.
While we as a people sit with our thumbs in our anatomical dark places, these well-oiled (so to speak) and well-heeled members of our elected officials and their cronies have taken us alarmingly close to dictatorship in this country under the guise of furthering the agenda of the Christian rightists in America who are nothing more than a burgeoning American Taliban more than willing to stick their noses into the private business of anyone who disagrees with them.
Like the Muslim Taliban, the American Taliban is nothing more than a bunch of busybodies passing their own prurient interests off as religion.
Now, the American Taliban has to step up and temper the duplicity that is the watchword of the religious right in America.
This country, Afghanistan, has a law that one cannot convert to Christianity in that country without being tried and executed for committing a crime.
Let's see the American Christian right step up to defend this man, which they can only do by interfering in the laws of that country.
Bush and the Christian right are now "ahoist their own petard". One hopes they enjoy the ride.
