Dubai - A Saudi wedding was transformed into a wrestling match when more than 20 women got into a fight triggered by one of the women taking pictures with her cellphone camera, the Saudi daily Arab News reported Wednesday.
The report said five police cars had to come to the scene, and made many arrests in the incident which took place in the city of Jizan.
The trouble apparently started when one woman at the segregated wedding party noticed another woman taking pictures with a cellphone camera.
Outside the hall, the chaos spread further when men refused to let the women leave the hall until it was determined who had taken the photos.
Pictures are not allowed in wedding parties which are segregated in the conservative kingdom. With no men present, the women don't have to wear the traditional black robe that covers them in public from head to toe.
