Australian teen sues school for failure to learn
Mar 7, 2011, 10:17 GMT
Sydney - A 15-year-old Melbourne schoolboy is suing Australian education authorities because of his poor scholastic achievement.
Lawyers for Stefan Benic told the Federal Court on Monday that their client is 'seriously disadvantaged' because he can barely read and write despite his years at Maribyrnong Secondary College.
The court heard that despite Benic suffering from various learning disorders, he should have expected a 'world class' education at his school.
Benic is seeking compensation for 'future lost earnings.'
