Special: The struggle for energy
Jun 15, 2006, 4:27 GMT
Cork/Washington/Bangkok - The world's struggle for energy resources will be a major issue at the upcoming G-8 summit in St. Petersburg on July 15-17, 2006. The growing scarcity of fossil fuels has provoked political conflicts worldwide and a mad rush for renewable fuel resources.
Ahead of the summit, M&C is publishing three special packages with analyses and features to explore how the political and market forces are working to spark interest in alternative fuels.
The first package, on political energy issues, will start today. Next week we will look at automotive fuel and then electricity towards the end of the month.
