Why call them coffee shops? they are DRUG stores. plain and simple.Call them what they are and perhaps people will realize they are involved in the drug trade!
Holland - a truly civilized country when it comes to pot laws. There are many legitimate, legal uses for pot. As I cannot take pharmacutical pain killers, my doctor prescribed it for pain control. When is the west going to get real about this natural product? It was banned because Dow Chemical had just created nylon rope and wanted a monopoly on rope making, so it had its political friends declare the Hemp a dangerous drug. The fibers can be made into paper and even clothing. It is very versatile product. Get real about it people. Take the roach out of my hand? You'll have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers.
a) more drugs at a chemist than a coffee shop - if it's so obvious that a coffee shop is all about selling spliff then why call them drug stores?
b) why make excuses about smoking weed? is it ok to take it for pain and not pleasure? what's wrong with pleasure? sounds like typical puritan-american.
@ EXCUSES. I don't care if anyone smokes for pleasure. Mankind has been self-medicating since the first Neanderthal ate a fermenting berry. I make a tea for pain. Tea does not befuddle the brain, like smoking does. And i am not a puritan, let alone a Bible thumping yank. So stick that in your bong and smoke it.
If it sounds like excuses, then you're hearing things. Audio hallucinations in other words. Maybe you should put down the crack pipe.
