Racist Hungarian police sent to tolerance classes
Jan 19, 2007, 19:30 GMT
Budapest - Some 30 Hungarian police officers who made racist statements in an internet police forum have been sent to tolerance classes, national police chief Laszlo Bene said on Friday.
Bene apologized for the behaviour of the officers, who made anti- Roma comments on the forum last year.
The officers were investigated to see if they had ever shown prejudice in the course of their jobs, but no abuses were found.
