Folks, I'm sorry. I still do NOT believe that this guy died from exposure to polonium. It seems far more likely that the toxin was ricin, an old KGB favorite. I think the investigators got false positives when looking for polonium because it is a common constituent of tobacco smoke--and the most likely cause of lung cancer. Which brings up another point. Polonium is not particular toxic as a chemical. It causes problems when ingested because it is an alpha emitter.
Well noharness.. thank goodness your opinion/ belief doesn't matter one jot! It's amazing to think that in your great wisdom and without any first hand evidence - yes you know... hard core facts - you can discount the conclusions of a team of highly trained and qualified forensic scientist who have been working on this crime for months. From the traces of polonium left across London and on British Airways flights, they have tracked the movements of the poisoner from point to (glowing) point and even identified which (Russian) reactor the Polonium came from. At least 17 innocent people have been identified as being significantly contaminated long term by Polonium as a result of this assasination. These are just ordinary people, the waiters and service staff at the bars and hotels Lugovoy visited, not spies or oligarchs. The only real justice is that Lugovoy must have seriously contaminated himself and probably his allies while applying the poison, and faces a future knowing that at some point the radiation will most probably kill him.
Tony Blair and Jack Straw ought to be extradited to the freedom-fighters and slaughtered sufferers of Iraq for causing their country's wholesale death with his colonial actions
Fortunately, ph, your opinion - and that of all the British liars who concocted this charade - matters just as little as that of the 'ricin' lunatic. Russia couldn't care less about whatever you think. For all we know Tony Blair could have killed this KGB turncoat.
