US congressman calls former German chancellor Shroeder "prostitute"

Washington - Former German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's close business ties to Russia amount to 'political prostitution' that would even offend people who sell their bodies for money, a top US congressman said on Tuesday.
Tom Lantos, a Holocaust survivor who chairs the House of Representatives committee on foreign affairs, attacked both Shroeder and former French president Jacques Chirac for failing to support the United States in its 2003 war in Iraq.
Speaking at the dedication ceremony for a victims of communism memorial in Washington, Lantos said he would like to call Schroeder 'a political prostitute, now that he's taking big cheques from (Russian President Vladimir) Putin. But the sex workers in my district objected.'
Soon after leaving office, Schroeder became chairman of the North European Gas Pipeline, which is 51-per-cent owned by Russian state natural gas company Gazprom.

It took him a long time to find out what kind of guy Schroeder is. :)
On the other hand...dont let us forget Lantos role in the 1991 'Iraqi soldiers killing babys out of incubators' propaganda fraud also known as the 'Nurse Nayirah' fairy tale which he helped to organize in cooperation with the PR company Hill&Knowlton which made the whole story up.
It was Lantos who brought 'Nurse Nayirah' in front of the u.s congress to tell them about the 'cruel crimes' committed by iraqi soldiers.
The truth is that Nayirah was the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to the Unites States and not even a nurse. She was coached on the whole story and her fictive nurse role by Hill & Knowlton.
Its just ridiculous when someone who supported such an outrageous act of fraud towards the u.s congress and citizens, now judges over someone like Schroeder.
This would be a good scenery for an political satire comic. :)

Just as a side note : Hill & Knowlton also did the public relations stuff for americas success story ENRON *lol*
