Danube banks in Budapest closed because of high water levels

Budapest - The authorities in Hungary partly closed the banks of the Danube river in the capital Budapest Monday as a precaution against high waters, the MTI news agency reported Monday.
No flooding had yet been reported but the authorities announced a state of heightened readiness along sections of the Danube because of the raised water levels.
