Spanish region allows girl to go to school wearing Muslim headscarf
Oct 2, 2007, 13:10 GMT
Gerona, Spain - A seven-year-old Moroccan girl living in Spain went back to school Tuesday after the Catalan regional government allowed her to do so wearing the Muslim headscarf.
The girl had stayed home for a week after the school in Gerona said the headscarf was against its norms.
Education officials said the girl's right to education was more important than the school's norms, and that tolerance should be applied to the hiyab or Muslim headscarf.
The girl's family said she herself wanted to cover her hair. The girl had earlier studied in another school which allowed her to do so.

What about a non-muslim girls right to NOT wear that scarf when visiting or traveling through an islamic nation?
Why do I see a trend of muslims always getting everything they demand and us Christians, animists, Buddhists, Confucianists, pagans, atheists getting NOTHING!!!!!
These muslims can not always win.
