Oct 15, 2007, 14:14 GMT
Berlin - Presidents from four African nations have agreed to take part in a conference on Africa that is being held in Germany next month, the office of German President Horst Koehler said Monday.
Heads of state from Mozambique, Botswana, Nigeria and Benin will join Koehler at the gathering in the central German town of Eltville from November 2-4, the announcement said.
The agenda includes a discussion on traditions and values as well as the relationship between the responsibilities of the individual and the state in African society.
Koehler launched an initiative called Partnership for Africa shortly after he took office as president of Germany in 2004. The first Africa conference was held a year later in Bonn. The last one took place in Ghana in January 2007.
