Czech hearse driver is caught with a huge alcohol overload
Dec 20, 2007, 13:11 GMT
Prague - Police in the Czech Republic - where there is zero tolerance for drunken driving - have stopped a hearse driver with 3.58 milligrams per 100 millilitres of alcohol in his blood.
That would be four or five times the amount allowed in countries where drivers are allowed to drink very moderately. Czech law does not allow drivers to drink at all.
Pravo newspaper said Thursday the hearse driver had been ferrying a body to a post mortem examination in the eastern town of Usti nad Orlici. His licence was taken away and he faces court proceedings.
