Copenhagen - Denmark's leading newspaper on Wednesday republished a cartoon depicting the Prophet Mohammed wearing a bomb as a turban, a day after Danish police said they had averted an alleged plot to kill one of the Mohammed cartoonists who sparked violent protests in 2006.

The cartoon by Kurt Westergaard was rerun in the newspaper's print edition as well as on its website after the arrests Tuesday of three men accused in the plot to kill him.

Westergaard, 73, drew one of 12 Mohammed cartoons that first appeared in Jyllands-Posten and later in other newspapers, sparking protests by Muslims around the world that claimed more than 150 lives at the beginning of 2006.

'It is appalling that as a reward, a man who to the best of his ability goes about his work and carries it out in accordance with Danish law, the Danish media ethics code and Danish media traditions was demonized and had his life threatened,' Carsten Juste, editor in chief of Jyllands-Posten, said in a statement on the newspaper's website.

Denmark the BRAVEST nation in Europe!!Feb 14th, 2008 - 18:00:21

What a wonderful example for the other papers and spineless, leaders of other nations to follow!

These islamic rats insult Christianity and Jesus everyday and that is just ok and nobody complains.

Well tell me you 7th century barbarians, how many people did Christ kill?

Now how many did mohammedthemadman kill, ransom, enslave, rape, and trade during his black years on earth?

Who do you think deserves reverence, respect, love and acceptance from mankind?

You muzzies better believe more attacks are coming your way against this mass murderer of history.

Germany, it is now your turn to show some guts and show how worthless and inadequate islam and their followers are to this planet.

Deport all muslims from free nations ASAP!!!!!
