Oslo - Emergency workers Monday found the body of a man who was swept away in an avalanche in northern Norway, reports said.
Avalanche specialists from the Red Cross and two helicopters also helped in the search for the missing man after the avalanche was reported earlier Monday, police told broadcaster NRK.
The accident occurred in Skjervoy in the county of Troms.
There has been a lot of snowfall in the past week, increasing the risk of avalanches. Meteorological services earlier issued an avalanche warning in the area.
