Tanks stolen from Serbian military base
Apr 24, 2008, 14:30 GMT
Belgrade - Four Cold War-era tanks were stolen from a Serbian military base, apparently for scrap metal, media reports said Thursday.
The T-34 tanks had been out of use for more than 30 years and were being used for target practice by warplanes and helicopters.
The army was investigating the incident at a base near the northern city of Novi Sad and had no immediate comment.
