Iran: Karadzic arrest "historic moment" for Bosnians, world Muslims

Tehran - Iran Wednesday said the arrest of Serbian war crimes suspect Radovan Karadzic was an 'historic moment' for the people of Bosnia Herzegovina and world Muslims, ISNA news agency reported. 'The arrest of this war criminal whose hands are stained with the blood of thousands of innocent people is an historic moment for the people of Bosnia Herzegovina and other world countries, especially the Muslims, who had waited for this moment for twelve years,' Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Ghashghavi said. 'We hope that with the arrest of the other war criminals at least a small part of the agony of the Bosnian people would be consoled and by holding a fair trial, the secret and unsaid dimensions of the war crimes and genocide in Bosnia will be disclosed to the world,' the spokesman added.
