That was to be expected - seems like the only practical solution - a de facto partition of Kosovo. The tension will keep on going, maybe for decades to come - but by now there are NATO/EU-Clientstates on both sides of the conflict, so peace for now has a chance.
Also:

30.000 seems a rather small number to me - a token demonstration pro forma?
