Three Germans arrested over bomb attack in Pristina (Roundup)

Pristina - Kosovo police arrested Thursday three German citizens suspected of throwing an explosive device last week at the Pristina office of the international community's representative.
The suspects were in Kosovo 'in private capacity' and have no immunity from prosecution, police spokesman Veton Elshani told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
The Foreign Ministry in Berlin confirmed the arrest of German nationals, without providing any additional details. Consular officials at the German embassy in Pristina were in contact with local authorities and the detainees.
Police were still investigating the November 14 attack which targeted the office of the International Civilian Representative, an official appointed to oversee United Nations settlement proposals for the region.
The background and possible motives for the attack remain unclear.
A European Union mission is due to take over the oversight of law-enforcement in Kosovo after more than eight years of a UN protectorate.
Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in February and Pristina, Belgrade, the UN and EU are currently wrangling over the conditions for the deployment of the EU mission, the Eulex, comprising 2,000 police, judicial and customs officials.
