Saarinen beats Kuitunen for cross-country World Cup win

Kuusamo, Finland - Aino Kaisa Saarinen won a women's 10-kilometres cross-country ski race from Virpi Kuitunen in a one-two finish for hosts Finland on Sunday.
Saarinen, 29, captured her second career victory in 28 minutes 16.4 seconds in driving snowfall in Kuusamo.
'I am in the best shape ever. I am sure that more good results will follow,' said Saarinen.
The reigning World Cup champion Kuitunen trailed by 3.8 seconds. Former World Cup winner Marit Bjoergen of Norway placed third in the classic style event, 7.3 seconds off the pace.
By winning, Saarinen moved to the top of the World Cup standings with 205 points from three events. Bjoergen ranks second with 160 points.
A men's 15km race was scheduled for later Sunday in Kuusamo.
