Johnsrud Sundby and Saarinen get cross-country wins (Roundup)

Kuusamo, Finland - Norwegian newcomer Martin Johnsrud Sundby pipped World Cup champion Lukas Bauer for a surprise victory in the men's cross-country skiing World Cup on Sunday.
The women's race saw a one-two for hosts Finland from Aino Kaisa Saarinen and Virpi Kuitunen.
Johnsrud Sundby, 25, skied to to his first career win in the men's classic style race over 15 kilometres in 37 minutes 52.5 seconds. His previous best individual efforts were two 10th-place finishes.
'It was amazing and beyond my expectations,' said Johnsrud Sundby.
The Czech Bauer trailed by 3.5 seconds in second place and Sami Jauhojaervi was third for Finland, 14.1 seconds behind the winner.
Finland did better earlier in the women's race over 10km, with the 29-year-old Saarinen getting her second career win in 28:16.4 minutes.
'I am in the best shape ever. I am sure that more good results will follow,' said Saarinen.
The reigning World Cup champion Kuitunen trailed by 3.8 seconds. Former World Cup winner Marit Bjoergen of Norway was 7.3 seconds off the pace in third place.
Johnsrud Sundby and Saarinen lead the World Cup standings with 113 and 205 points, respectively, from three races. The World Cup continues next weekend in La Clusaz, France.
