Scientology to be put on trial in France for fraud
Jan 28, 2009, 14:52 GMT
Paris - The Church of Scientology, a controversial self-styled religion with many well-known Hollywood adherents, will be tried in Paris on charges of organized fraud, France-Info radio reported on Wednesday.
If found guilty, the church could be declared illegal and disbanded. French authorities have always considered that Scientology, which counts film stars Tom Cruise and John Travolta among its members, is a sect, not a religion.
The organization is accused of using illicit arguments and procedures to sell its products and services to its members.
The public prosecutor had argued that the charges should be dismissed because the officials of the Church of Scientology did not benefit personally from the organization's revenues.
The trial is scheduled to be begin on May 25.

Vive la France!!
Robert Lindblad - with all due respect, please stop spamming all the comment sections of articles with your overly long rants. While the information you share is valid and makes for a good read, I don't think that the comment section is the place to paste it in full - provide a safe link instead.
Also, to France - way to go! Get this cult out of there and the rest of the world will soon follow.
Yeah France! Get rid of the cult! Maybe other countries will follow suit.

Well done France. I hope you succeed in removing this scum organisation from the planet. They have brainwashed and stolen from too many people. It needs to end.
DIE SCIENTOLOGY DIE!!!
Charging Scientology with fraud is a terrible thing to do. The only difference is that they believe in a different invisible man than the Christians and there are less of them.
They're both based on blind faith and lies, I say we outlaw Christ

Hahahaha. Y'know, it is really nice to have time and opportunity to see how disturbed the Media wants us all to be. And especially over volcanoes. Lately Television has programs about how volcanoes have up to people and erupted, spewing lava all over their shoes and cars and incinerating them into little tiny bits! Terribly disturbing! 30,000 people killed by volcanoes, the telly says! Well, let me tell you this, the only person ever killed by a volcano was the person who didn't run away. That's what you do, you see? You RUN from volcanoes. But the media wants us disturbed, so it tells us about the bimbo, beanbrained, hairlipped, doubletalking idiots who FORGOT to run from volcanoes. 30,000 of them, all of them incinerated into little tiny bits!
So, what's next? Oh yeah! Let's all get disturbed because the government of France can't find reason to persecute people for thinking thoughts. Hot damn, look! that person is thinking of Jesus! That other person is thinking of a sandwich! The media wants us disturbed! For THOUGHT CRIMES! Hahahaha, it is to laugh.
