Paris Match fined for photos of Sarkozy son's wedding
Feb 5, 2009, 13:32 GMT
Paris - A court in the Paris suburb of Nanterre on Thursday fined the glamour magazine Paris Match 4,000 euros (5,120 dollars) for publishing unauthorized photos of the wedding of French President Nicolas Sarkozy's son Jean, French media reported.
A rival magazine, Voici, was also fined 4,000 euros for publishing photographs from their wedding reception.
The amount of the fines imposed was well below the 30,000 euros Sarkozy's new daughter-in-law, Jessica, had demanded that Paris Match pay. She had earlier said she would donate the money to charity.
